On May 22, 2024, the Department of Public Health Dentistry organized a Training and Capacity-Building Awareness Program with Dr. Priya Paul as the speaker. The program was scheduled at 2:30 PM. and aimed to educate non-health professionals about the detrimental effects of hypertension on the quality of life of workers at MES Dental College Hospital, Seminar hall. The primary objective of the program was to raise awareness among non-health professionals about hypertension and its impact on the quality of life, particularly in occupation settings. Hypertension is a significant health concern that can affect productivity, well-being, and overall health outcomes among workers. The speaker delivered a comprehensive presentation covering the causes, risk factors, and consequences of hypertension. Special emphasis was placed on how hypertension can detrimentally affect the daily lives and productivity of workers. The program included interactive sessions where participants had the opportunity to ask questions and share their perspectives on hypertension in the workplace. The program was successfully concluded at 3.00 PM.
