CONSERVATIVE DENTISTRY
DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATIVE DENTISTRY AND ENDODONTICS
The Department focuses on giving the best treatment to patients and interactive,clinical centered education experience for our undergraduates and postgraduates. The primary goal of this department is Prevention, Diagnosis and treatment of dental caries and its sequelae such as pulpal and periapical diseases, management of dental pain, developmental defects of teeth, teeth discoloration and traumatized teeth. This department offers meticulous training programs to undergraduates, postgraduates and interns and has hardworking, dedicated teaching and non-teaching staffs for maintaining the smooth functioning of the department.
- Undergraduates are trained according to the curriculum put forth by the Kerala University of Health Sciences.
- Students are given preclinical training on phantom head initially, followed by clinical management of patients
- The students are trained to acquire clinical skills in diagnosis,treatment planning and management of patients
- Department offers three years postgraduate training according to the curriculum of The Kerala University of Health Sciences.
- Post graduate course includes weekly seminars and journal clubs, case discussions,lectures for undergraduate students,clinical clubs and research activities.
- Mandatory participation and presentation of their research and special clinical cases in State,National and International Conferences.

- Post endodontic restorative management-Post and core, full coverage metal/ceramic crowns, inlay, onlay, overlay, endocrowns
- Esthetic dental procedures- Bleaching, veneers
- Management of immature non vital teeth- Apexification, apexogenesis, regenerative endodontic treatment
- Pulp capping procedures
- Endodontic surgical procedures
- Fully equipped simulation lab for training undergraduates and postgraduates.Inclusion of CBCT,CADCAM,3D-printing
