On October 14, 2024, MES Dental College hosted the second session of the Basic Life Support (BLS) training program in collaboration with the Department of Emergency Medicine, MES Medical College. The training took place in the UG Lab of Oral Pathology and aimed to enhance the emergency preparedness of faculty members.
The program was attended by a diverse group of faculty from the college. This session followed a similar one held in April 2024 for a different set of faculties, underscoring the institution’s commitment to equipping all staff with essential emergency response skills.
The training covered vital topics such as recognizing cardiac arrest, performing chest compressions, using automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and basic airway management. Participants engaged in both theoretical discussions and practical demonstrations, which provided hands-on experience.
Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing increased confidence in their ability to handle emergency situations. This successful session reinforces the importance of BLS skills among faculty members and highlights MES Dental College’s dedication to promoting safety in clinical environments.
