The Department of Public Health Dentistry, MES Dental College, in collaboration with the NSS unit of Al Jamia Arts and Science College, conducted a comprehensive dental health camp on 19th June 2025.
The camp featured dental health awareness sessions, highlighting key topics such as oral hygiene practices and the harmful effects of tobacco use. A powerful mime performance by the MES team further reinforced the anti-tobacco message, drawing attention to its impact on oral and general health.
Over 200 individuals were screened, and 16 dental procedures were performed as part of the clinical services. The camp was headed by Dr. Shana Mariyam Kappil, supported by a committed team of 11 doctors from MES Dental College.
The event was well-received by both students and faculty, marking a successful collaboration between MES Dental College and the NSS unit in promoting community oral health and tobacco awareness.
