No Tobacco Day Celebration

On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, the Department of Public Health Dentistry organized a series of awareness activities to highlight the harmful effects of tobacco use and promote a tobacco-free lifestyle. The event featured a pledge ceremony where students and faculty committed to spreading awareness and supporting cessation efforts.
Pamphlets with information on the dangers of tobacco and resources for quitting were distributed to the public. An impactful awareness talk was delivered by faculty members, emphasizing the health risks associated with tobacco and the importance of prevention, especially among youth.
A cartooning competition was also held, allowing students to creatively express the anti-tobacco message through art. The event successfully engaged participants and reinforced the department’s commitment to public health advocacy.
