The talk by Dr. MS Kannan on Damon Philosophy and vectors was aimed at promoting the Damon Philosophy amongst the students and practitioners alike. The program started with 55 registered participants at 9.30am an inaugural program. Dr. Vincy, HOD dept. of Ortho welcomed the audience and the speaker. Dr. Prathapan and Dr. Sabin Siddique facilitated Dr. Kannan. Dr. Shaloob presented a memento of appreciation. Dr. Kannan shared his immense knowledge on the Damon Philosophy and it is revolutionizing Orthodontic Treatment around the world. He shared pictures from his personal practice to explain. He also guides the patients on TAD’s and spoke extensively on Biomechanics. Here too he shared personal patient profiles to explain the correct way to place the vector to treat even the most difficult of mal occlusion. He patiently demonstrated the correct placement of the implants on the phantom jaws which was hugely beneficial for the attending PD graduate students. The program ended with certificates distributed to the participants and Dr. Shaloob facilitated Dr. Kannan on behalf of the institution and Dr. Nayaz proposed the vote of thanks.
