On January 13th, 2025, the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology at MES Dental College hosted a highly insightful workshop titled “Bite Into Better Sleep: Dentist’s Role in Sleep Medicine.” The event, led by Dr. Anu Vijayan( MDS, Mastership in OFD, TMD & DSM, and Professor at Mar Baselios Dental College) was an exceptional learning experience for both students and professionals in the field of dentistry. Dr. Anu Vijayan, with her extensive expertise, explored the crucial role dentists play in diagnosing and managing sleep-related disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, bruxism, and other TMJ-related issues. Attendees gained valuable knowledge on how dental professionals can contribute to improving patients’ sleep quality and overall well-being. The workshop was a great success, fostering awareness and enhancing the understanding of sleep medicine within the dental community.
